Sorry Sheldon but the label clearly says 'tied' for the bones. They are there but maybe not obvious just where. It almost looks in one of the pictures like they were cut out then inserted back in place? Carol -- |

I doubt he's ever made a standing rib roast. Or he'll call it TIAD. Don't care, I happen to like it. This is what I make instead of turkey at Thanksgiving or Christmas. Because I do not like turkey. Oh, and the recipe is one my mother cut out from a newspaper. Yes, my mother didn't like to cook. But she found this recipe for standing rib roast and I've been using it since the 1980's. Stud it with garlic cloves and turn the oven on HIGH. Then turn it off and do not open the door for... I'll him google for the answer. Perfect Prime Rib. ![]() Jill |

Somebody would probably tell me it's a special kind of meat that originated in Sweden. |

And sice I'm sleepless and bored I decided to look for the reference to Charles Dickens and Yorkshire Pudding. Fun stuff came up including some recipes: https://www.csmonitor.com/1983/0202/020211.html "Anyone who takes pleasure in English food as well as in the writings of Charles Dickens has perhaps noticed his many references to food. There is the description in ''David Copperfield'' of Mr. Dick's partiality for gingerbread, and the mention of Mrs. Bagnet's Boiled Pork from ''Bleak House.'' Charles Dickens really did mention food a lot in his books. ![]() Jill |

The freezer burn is a good indication that it's quite old. === Why does the sell by date matter, if it has been frozen? As I mentioned before, those bones make good beef stock (there's still some meat on them). Jill <---still waiting for an apology for being called a liar |
