Default Sharing Food

"dsi1" > wrote in message

The sharing of food is common in cultures from small, isolated, communities
like this rock. Yoose guys remind me of a dog that growls and snaps at other
dogs to protect his food. Food is probably the first thing that a baby
learns to share. This is something that should be taught to a human from the
very beginning.
=======

Sharing is one thing, but someone taking off anothers plate without it being
offered or asked for is the height of rudeness. Maybe you are used to
rudeness on your rock if you think it's acceptable for others to be grabbing
off anothers plate, and we're talking adults here, not babies, but most are
not OK with it in the civilized world.

People don't grab food off of other people's plates on this rock. That is rude, selfish, and self-centered behavior. This explains why yoose guys feel the need to protect your plates - you live in a dog eat dog world.

People (in general) don't do that there, either. That's why it
was noteworthy when it happened to Wayne.

There are poorly socialized people everywhere, even on your rock.

Which was what the thread was about, rude, selfish, self centered behavior
that you chose to take exception to, and the fact of the matter is, there
are rude, selfish, self centered people in all parts of the world, including
your "rock." I believe it is the Asian people that still eat dog, but
hopefully they're sharing.

Sounds like food is getting kinda scarce on the mainland. I imagine it to be like that movie - Soylent Green.

Just a bunch of old farts who like to get worked up over something. As
a group. Mutual support, communal indignation and back patting. First
world problem.

I sure hope not. According to reports from RFC, the situation is critical. People are stealing food off of each other's plates requiring the need for violent defensive strategies. The gluttony and greed of these savages is astounding.

Meanwhile, back on this rock, I had this last night.

It's the local version of Cantonese beef tomato. It's called "chop steak" but it's not the American version of chop steak. It's Hawaiian chop steak or you can call it Hawaiian beef tomato.

Those are funny looking spoons. I'm guessing that you can fill them up and lay them on the table without spilling. It seems useful but maybe it isn't. The great part about this dish is that I could probably make it anywhere in the world. A Chinese person might not like this dish because there's no oyster sauce or 5 spice.
