I'll bet the cat jumps up on her kitchen counters too when she's not home. Mia always prefered drinking from my nightstand water glass. During the day, she would drink from the ferret water bowls....one in bathroom and one in cage. At night, she wanted my water and I gladly let her drink it. She would wake me by touching her cold nose to my nose. (This was a hello touch to get my attention). Then she would look at me a certain way and I knew the "thirsty" look. I would reach over and hold my water glass to her so she could drink. She would drink then go back to sleep. No worries...we lived together and shared all germs. ![]() |

You should look up McD's hash browns too. I'd be interested in seeing the ingredient list. If I make hash browns at home, it's only potatoes and oil (and maybe a nip of butter). Bet you McD hashbrowns have a long list of ingredients. I don't care, I rarely eat the stuff. IMO, the casual attitude of "no worries" is the key to long life. |

My cat Persia could have figured it out. I used to have to cat-proof the pantry and the laundry room. She liked to open doors. > Mia always prefered drinking from my nightstand water glass. I've never caught Buffy attempting to crawl onto the nightstand to drink out of the water glass. She has her own bowl of freshly filled water (twice a day) right next to her food. > During the day, she would drink from the ferret water > bowls....one in bathroom and one in cage. But you do look left and right before you cross a street, because too much of "no worries" is the key to short life. |

It turned out she'd been bullied by the other cat in the house. The caretaker was hoping for an only-cat household. I was in a perfect position to do it so I adopted her. She's turned out to be a total lovebug. You'll know when you're ready. Try not to dwell on the deaths of the others. It's the love you give and receive from the next one(s) that counts. Jill |
