Some materials will deteriorate over time, exposure to UV or other chemicals. After about 15 years they should be replaced or at least have a new backup available. |

I also know the fire department (which is right off Dataw island on Polowana Road) won't recharge it. It's a $12 fire extinguisher. They'd just tell me to buy a new one. Knock on formica, I've never actually needed to use it. Jill |

I heard them saying it was the lever, plastic now, not metal. Don't know what make mine is but only the hose is rubber as opposed to metal. |

I'd toss anything 20 years old or at least have a new one for backup. In addition to the kitchen, I have two units expired from work because of age and OSHA regulations but could be handy at home. > > (*) I think you were in the plastics business, right?
