Okay, I did. I did make the toasted cheese only because I had sliced cheese
that didn't get eaten. Mine is all Swiss. The others were mostly Swiss with a little medium Cheddar mixed in. Both pkgs. gone now. I wanted to do them on rye bread but the QFC that I went to didn't have any of what I'd call *good* rye bread. They had a Franz bread on sale for cheap called Sweet Dark. Had a lot of oats and seeds and stuff. So that's what I bought. I haven't eaten yet but nobody has complained. Tomato soup (Pacific brand) on the side and also some potato skins with cheese and bacon. Too many carbs for me. I'm mainly having the sandwich with one tiny skin and a taste of the soup. I wasn't hungry at all and not in the mood for anything but I was also out doing stuff then all of a sudden, everyone else wanted dinner. I had already baked the skins so just had to reheat. Also had sandwiches assembled and ready to toast so dinner in about 10-15 minutes. Tomorrow will be macaroni, beef and probably tomatoes. Perhaps with corn and cheese added. Unless I see some other good looking recipe that uses macaroni and beef. Can assemble that tonight and have it ready for baking tomorrow. Will probably have a Greek salad to go with that as there are a few Kalamatta olives and some Feta to use up. I had been on a Greek salad kick for a while and then kind of stopped eating them for no apparent reason. |
