You have a milk man?! Wayne already stated he can't find large curd
cottage cheese in the stores where he shops.

You forget it's Julie... the last time I saw home delivery of dairy
had to be the late '50s when the Ice-A-Box was pretty much phased out.
With "the milk man" Julie could be refering to a dairy store like The
Dairy Barn:

I no longer use them but I did when we first moved back here. They have
changed what they sell since then. Some different brands and added a lot of
things. Only reason I stopped was that we didn't need dairy products every
week. I am unsure of their brand of cottage cheese. They used to sell the
Alpenrose. I loved that. If they still had that I would likely go back to
using them again.

We have not had home milk delivery here in the Niagara peninsula for
close to 40 years.

IIRC a dairy in Memphis was still doing home delivery of milk/dairy
products until the mid 1980's. At some point it was no longer cost
effective so they discontinued the service.

I can see how that would be handy if you needed a weekly delivery. Like
you, I don't so even if there was a local dairy that delivered it
wouldn't make sense for me.

When I moved here there were still areas that were delivered by horse.
The big green pasture on the other side of town is now a big, big
subdivision.

That's a fun memory. Sad that it's been built up.
