Default Pineapple in rum

Can't be bothered to check when it was, but think around last spring
or so, someone mentioned pickling pineapple in rum. At the time I put
some pineapple slices in a mason jar and added some lovely Appletons
Rum I had brought back from Jamaica.

Tried half a ring just now - uuuuummm - really yummy. For so little
effort, a great return.

I once tried the method with Kumquats and brandy. However, the fruit
came from an "organic" source and when I checked on the jar a few months
later, there were scores of little white grubs floating on the top of
the liquor.

Why not? I generally eat the fruit and mix the rum for a punch type drink.

I have a $1.97 pineapple. I have my 9 little bottles of Captain
Morgan's spiced rum. I will be making this tonight.

I don't have any of those little bottles but spiced rum sounds like a
winner with pineapple. I buy spiced rum this time of year to add to egg
nog. I know I'll have some left over for the pineapple.

* That's not Tequila , that's Mezcal . I prefer Tequila reposada , made
from 100% blue agave of course . A good tequila needs no chasers or
mixers , it's very smooth and mellow .

Yep.

Great hang-over cu good tequila w/ half-n-half, on the rocks. Add
some nutmeg. Many-times tested!

Great surreptitious drink: buy half-pint of tequila (only time!
honest). Buy can/bottle of 7-Up. Drink enough 7-Up to back-fill with
ta'-kill-'ya! Virtually undetectable ina crowd! Gar-own-tee!!

My friends and I ate live fluttering moths late at night after
work back in the summer of 1971. It all started with a dare to
one guy. He did it then we all started doing it. Put a live moth
in your mouth, let it flutter around in your mouth for a few
seconds, then swallow it down whole and live washed down with a
big gulp of beer. lol Beer games.

"I have never drunk?" lol. Worm is fine after you drink enough of
the tequila. That's why it sits at the bottom of the bottle. Once
you reach the bottom of the bottle, you don't care.

Actually for "hair of the dog," a good hang-over cure is 1-2
drinks of any thing you like to drink. Clue is to have 1-2 to
cure hangover but stop then and have no more.

PS - This is why so many people drink wine with their dinners.
Cleanse the pallette, my ass. Drinking wine with dinner makes any
food taste better and better as the meal progresses.
