Default Temperature of dishes

Our cupboard is on an outside wall and with the door closed it is cooler
than the rest of the kitchen. In cold weather, I always warm up the
plates before putting hot food on them.

Today, the outside temperature was 20 degrees and the dishes inside were
62 degrees. House thermostat is 68.

Most time I turn the oven on a few minutes, other times or a single
plate I just hold it over a flame on the burner.
