Default Colds and soup ...

Â* Well , the big day has come and gone and we have the usual turkey
leftovers . And my wife has come down with a horrible cold ... so what
better way to make her feel better and use up some leftovers but a pot
of turkey noodle soup . I dropped both wings , some breast meat , and
the tail in a saucepan and covered with water , simmered that for about
an hour . Let it cool , removed all the bones and fatty skin , added
some sliced carrots and a can of chicken broth and let that simmer for
another 30 minutes then added some egg noodles , salt , and some celery
flakes and parsley . More simmering , 2 bowls later for each of us and
now there's not nearly as much left as I anticipated ...

Everyone is getting sick. My gardener has a cold and my friend has
bronchitis.

Â* The Mrs works at the local WM , and there have recently been a lot of
people out sick . Just what is it with people , they keep their kids
home because they're too sick to go to school . And take them to Walmart
shopping ...

Here's a guess: The school won't let them attend if they're sick. The
parent wants or needs to go shopping but doesn't have a baby sitter.

I'm glad the soup was a hit! Hope your wife feels better soon.

I had to deal with worse when visiting with my wife's brother's kids.
Their mother was a health food fanatic. I have to admit that she did a
good job of keeping them healthy because the kids were rarely sick.
However, they were carriers. All those germs that could not penetrate
the kids' defenses would jump on the next normal human who came along.
