Default Full Monte - $20

Michelin went to the Vet this morning for The Works.
Animal Kind charges only $20 for exam, shots, and spay.
Miche will be coming home today at 3:30.
He won't be going outside again.
Miche is definitely not feral.
Mich was a house cat that some sick POS dumped.

Good for you taking him in and getting him neutered, however...you don't
know that some "sick POS dumped" him. I have a good friend who loves cats
( a much loved house cat of hers escaped one day when she opened the front
door) She was half crazy looking for the cat, posted flyers etc., she
finally found the cat a couple of weeks later when someone called and told
her they thought it was under their porch, it was and they were reunited.
Definitely not a POS situation.

A fair point, kitties do get out and get lost.

Sheldon might want to advertise on social media locally that he has a
new stray in house.

As long as the owners weren't using him for paid stud service (the cat, not
Sheldon)

Sheldon on social media? I'm cracking up!

I'm reminded of an episode from a TV show, The King of Queens. Ray
Romano brought home a "stray" bull dog. He had it neutered, then the
owner showed up. Turned out it was a stud champion bull dog.

LOL, I saw something like that on Judge Judy too, someone had found a dog
and had it fixed, then it turned out to be a dog used for breeding, it also
turned out that the person that was suing had used that poor dog over and
over with not much time in between, so in that case it was a good thing.

Not really...what you are doing is being a hypocrite by posting a reply
to me via someone else's posting.

But hey, what else isn't new with you dear?

Your killfile is just a ruse, you read and pot shot all.

Jill, King of Queens starred Kevin James...but maybe Romano guest starred on the show.

Sometimes cats do escape, that's true. But, my cat Persia had been
dumped. Someone moved away and left her behind. She showed up at my
door because she wanted inside a nice warm place.

Sheldon lives so far out in the middle of nowhere, could it really be a
neighbors' cat? I know they can traverse afar but it's been coming
around to eat (and he posted a pic in another thread with cat toys) for
a while now. I'm sure the vet would have scanned for a chip, too.

Friendly cat, not afraid of toys or humans. Unfortunately, people
abandoning pets is an all too common occurrence.

Apparently people with acreage and a barn are often where people
think it's okay to drop off their unwanted cats.

True, but...it doesn't necessarily follow that some POS dropped the cat at
Sheldon's, which was my only point. How do you know that someone dumped
Persia, I'm curious.

I don't know for *sure* but I went to great lengths to find out who
might have lost her. I took pictures, posted flyers, called all the
area vets and shelters. Is anyone missing what looks like a Russian
Blue cat? (A trip to the vet showed she had been spayed and front
declawed, BTW.)

There was a a couple who lived in a duplex across the street from my
apartment complex. They had a lot of cats. I'd see the cats outside
all the time. The people picked up and moved but left the cats. I
suspect that's where Persia came from.

The manager at my apartment complex told me it was not at all uncommon
for people to leave pets behind. Sometimes they found them shut up
inside the empty apartments when they went in to get them ready to rent.
Left with a bowl of kibble and some water and nothing else. Who knows
how long those pets were shut inside. There are definitely some POS
people in the world when it comes to abandoning pets.

When my son was living in Montreal he was asked to look after someone's
cat for a couple weeks. He ended up doing it for a few months but was
having a hard time because of a severe allergy to cats. He got his
roommate to do it for a while. He ended up moving out of town and
doesn't know what came of the cat or how long that old roommate looked
after it.

Then you have a pretty good reason for thinking that, lucky Persia that she
came to your door. Yes, there have been instances where an owner died and
the *family* dumped the animals instead of making arrangements for them,
they are true POS!

You're obviously not a cat person.

You're obviously not a sane person, but don't let that stop you from making
a fool of yourself on a regular basis...oh wait.

I've been involved with enough house cats and feral cats to know the
differences. Miche is definately a house cat that could not have
survived here outdoors.
Anyway the Vet says he's about two years old, weighs 21 pounds, and is
in excellent health, and now Miche has a forever home. He loves toys
so I will be checking to buy him more. Meanwhile he is recuperating
in a back room and will be allowed out to roam about tomorrow morning.
I'm very glad that after being dumped he found his way to our deck.
People at Animal Kind said cats are dumped every day.
They only charged us $20 because we addopted him, had we left him as a
feral it would have been $70 and they would have notched his ear.
Animal Kind knew that we donate a lot of money so thanked us profusely
for giving Miche a forever home. The woman there said he's a lovely
cat and wished she could have kept him.

That's great Popeye! Did the woman have huge gigantic breasts? Did yoose

Whether he was abandoned or not, you did the right thing by
having him spayed and his shots. He has probably been
living like a prince, now he can live like a king.
