I was watching the program The Kitchen on the Food Network.
I learned that you can freeze avocados.
You allow them to ripen, cut them in half, take out the seed and scoop
each half. Place halves on tray and freeze, then bag 'em up. Just
thaw overnight in the fridge.

You can freeze any citrus.
Freeze the citrus whole. Either thaw overnight in the fridge or place
in the microwave for 10-12 seconds.

Wow, that's good to know about avocados! I didn't know that.

Yes, interesting. We're getting a lot of them once a year if the bats
don't go batty with them.

that is the best way to preserve avocados especially in season when they are plentiful and cheap. Once thawed they work well for guac or sandwiches, etc.

I get the little guacamole cups from Costco. Says right on there that they
freeze well. I have frozen lemons and limes.

Yeah, urine specimen cups, used and repurposed. And naturally you
don't care whose pubic hairs and nose pickings you ingest...WTF is so
difficult about mashing an avocado... for all you know you're eating
the nappy poopings from Central America.

My mental health professional has directed me to apologize to this
group at large and to Marty and Steven in specific for acting out
here. A change in my medications is being made to address a disorder I
have been experiencing this summer. I will be monitored, but I am no
longer allowed to engage in certain activities I previously have
enjoyed as they exacerbate my condition. I apologize for being
disruptive, in a better state of mind this was generally not an issue
for me.

Wow, seriously?

So we have an AOHELL reject then?

History lesson time:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluto

After the theatrical Popeye cartoon series ceased production in 1957,
Bluto's name was changed to Brutus because it was incorrectly believed
that Paramount Pictures, distributors of the Fleischer Studios (later
Famous Studios) cartoons, owned the rights to the name "Bluto". King
Features actually owned the name, as Bluto had been originally created
for the comic strip. Due to a lack of thorough research, they failed to
realize this and reinvented him as Brutus to avoid supposed copyright
problems

He's been riding the trash talk train so long that it has become second
nature.

What's unnecessary is the constant critiquing and trashing of any and
all things culinary that are not in complete coherence with his little
world.

I wonder how he was as a parent...

Uh huh.

Okay Sheldon. You're going off the deep end. Guacamole is easy to make, yes.
The problem? I don't eat it. People eat it here sporadically. Avocados are
expensive. They're fine with the stuff. So that works for me.
