It takes an "in your face" sort of thing for me to notice. The woman in
the short shorts and bikini top was actually very fit, but her face was
a roadmap of wrinkles. Come to think of it, maybe she wasn't older.
Maybe she just never heard of sunscreen.

Me, I don't dare sit outside without sunscreen. I might burst into
flames. LOL

Some people dress to make some sort of a statement. It's sometimes
hard to say what that statement is, but most likely it is something like
look at me.

There was a woman in my class in high school who strove to be the hot
California blond. She was good looking and always had a deep tan. She
went down to Florida for Christmas and Spring breaks and came back even
darker. I ran into at a party when we were in our 40s. I hardly
recognized her because she was so wrinkled. Not such a great look at
that age.

I have been to the dermatologist a few times. Nothing serious, but there
is some sun damage that has been frozen off. I was told to make sure I
use sunscreen when I am out in the sun. I worked outside for many
years and wore short sleeve shirts whenever possible. All it takes is a
few short exposures and my arms develop a very dark tan. The rest of me
does not tan that much.

I made it to closing time every night that I worked as a bartender but we
usually closed around midnight, which was long enough. LOL

When I was in my 20s I spent way too much time in bars, but I was rarely
there for closing time, other than a short period of time while I was
helping a friend in his new bar.

Yes, I think different times, people mostly didn't start the evenings late
like they do now, some start out at 10:00 P.M. even, so being there at
closing time wouldn't be such a stretch.

Nevada is open 24/7 for booze and more. Why others live anywhere else
is beyond me.

If you don't drink too much, you can think ahead a bit and buy your
alcohol before shops close.

Have you been following the tunnel into Lake Meade and how it provides
LV with water?

That may dry up soon.

If people are working around the clock perhaps sales hours should be
extended to allow them the same access as others. People who work day
shifts can go out for a few drinks after work, or maybe go out for an
evening. People who work afternoon shifts probably want to do the same
thing.

Because... booze is not an important part of our lives?

I actually had three or four beers in 2017. Two of them at the
office Christmas party. I probably had only two in 2016.

Sheldon doesn't drink much beer either but he passes out every
night from Crystal Palace overdose after posting here in the most
embarrassing drunken manner possible. ;)

My first visit to Lake Mead was 1976. Every time back since the water
level has been down. Las Vegas has also gotten bigger. That just can't
work forever.

Iirc it was near full even in the mid to late 1980s and once more in the
early '00s..

If you believe the consumption rates vs. growth and drought, no it can't.

Something has to give.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ught-doom.html

Las Vegas had about 126,000 residents when it began drawing water from
Lake Mead in 1971. It now has 2 million residents and 40 million
tourists a year.

Yes, plus he also has to keep an alert watch out for all those beautiful
women that constantly try to rape him. If it was me, I'd give up and
simply buy a cock cage with a chastity lock on it.

I apologize for not being specific. I don't care whether southern
Nevada dries up and blows away. Phoenix has the same problem. People
shouldn't live by a scrawny river while depending on the distant
Colorado River and suck it dry.
I may misremember whether you said you were from Philly. If I didn't,
you should be happy today. Go Eagles!
I taped the game and buzzed through it, stopping at the commercials.
