Default 30 foods to avoid

MSN has some click bait features but some have moderate interest. This
one is 30 foods to avoid after 30. I agree with most and never ate them
at any age. Not giving up ice cream or bacon though, but have cut back
in recent years.

I can just see you in front of the TV, eating a microwave dinner and
sucking coca cola through a straw.

I'd agree that one or two things shouldn't ever be consumed, no matter
ones age but generally speaking, the author is full of squit, twaddle
and bunkum!

But some of those items are pure junk, regardless of one's age.

There is so much "fake" news and these articles are presented solely for
your attention to the freakin ADS all around the pages they are presented
on.
Junk journalism at its best/worst.

"Dairy products are highly acidic" WTF? Why should I care?

My junk science alarm is clanging.

Anything useful in those slides is just common sense.

Sorry, but THAT isn't me.

I do eat microwaved things, I drink diet soda, but not through a
straw.

Oh, and I DON'T even have a couch, I sit at my desk in a desk chair
working, when I'm not sleeping.

And straws are bad for the environment anyway. I suspect that half the reason they linger is that parents are too cowardly to stand up to their kids when they scream for them in restaurants. (Or when the kids want the parents to buy them in stores.)

Did you have to go to 30 pages to find out?

Disposable diapers full of poo are worse, compare the amount of those to
straws. Most parents I know with small children buy the heavy reusable
plastic straws for a couple of bucks and use them for a long time. Your
experience might be different though.

The whole point of the article was to get you to click on one of the other ads on one of the pages. If you did, then it fulfilled it's only reason for being. It doesn't matter much if you think it's all crap - as long as you keep clicking. Mostly it's a shotgun approach to advertising. My guess is that it's highly effective.

A lot of those articles are bullshit anyway, like the ones that Bruce
linked as his proof about squids being smarter that Dutchmen.

Children are very environmentally unfriendly, especially as they
become adults.

Just because it's clickbait, doesn't mean it's not true

Doesn't mean it is either, but as they say..."there's one born everyday,"
suckers for every study and new thing that comes down the pike.

There have always been lists of things someone claims you should or
shouldn't eat.

What about "superfoods"? A fairly recent buzzword.

https://www.eatthis.com/fattening-superfoods/

Nutritious in small quantities. To be eaten in moderation, not as a
total diet. Unless you want to get fat.
