On sale at one store here this week for $7.99 (choice) I still have 3 11oz KC Strip steaks to cook before I buy any more beef. |

But still we didn't like all that fat and that they are very bland, no beefy flavor at all... we both decided not to buy ribeye again... for about the same price I should have bought the flank steak instead. We much prefer top round London broil or grilled chuck steak, and sometimes we share a porterhouse. |

Â* At the last big meat sale at our local store we bought both a ribeye strip and a KC strip - we have about 35-40 steaks in vacuum bags out there in the freezer . We figure that should last us about a year or so .. We paid around 4 bucks a pound and they custom cut them to my spec . -- Snag Ain't no dollar sign on peace of mind - Zac Brown |

Yeah...that much would hold me for a LONG time as I haven't been eating much beef lately. No special reason, just haven't had much. You sound like a hunter too, based on past posts. If so you probably have some game in that freezer too? I'm picturing one of those large chest freezers. None of my business...just wondering. In the married days, we bought a small chest freezer (about 4' wide). Never even came close to filling it so we sold it after about 2-3 years. |

Â* Yes , there are a couple of deer in there too . It's an upright , and we keep it full , whether with food or jugs of water . We call the jugs "auxiliary thermal storage mass" - well , I do . -- Snag Ain't no dollar sign on peace of mind - Zac Brown |
