Wow I amazed you're so sexist - he's probably a uni student too, like
the girls who also work there! One advantage is I do not have to buy
nail polish for sandal season - so I can be as weird as I like, chose
purple this a.m. (Hope that didn't give you a heart attack you poor
conservative)

You mean just like I feel creeped out when I see/hear Trump speaking??

Have you been in areas where they do that? They are no longer forests
they are just rows of trees that grow quickly and there is nothing
beautiful about them. Then they are all whacked down and anything
living therein and the process begins again.

If I have a regularly scheduled appointment I usually don't have to wait
long, but if I have a problem they will try to get my in at the end of
the day along with all the other urgent cases, so I may have to wait an
hour or more. My doctor has lots of magazines. I am surprised that
most people in the waiting room do not read. I can't imagine sitting
there doing nothing if there is reading material available.

a lot of people get pedicure for very practical reasons besides being
indulgent. And, bulk, palleted paper is piling up by the hundreds of
tons in waste yards because there's no place to send is any longer.

I've been lucky in that regard, too. Never a long wait time. But I do
always take a book with me just in case. (Magazines in waiting rooms
are never anything I'm interested in, even if they are current issues.)

I rarely have time to get through a couple of chapters before they call
me back. The *longer* waiting time is once they put you in the exam
room. Nice to have a book to kill the time.

New rules. We are prohibited from putting plastic water bottles in
with the recycling. We are told to put them in the trash.

I've never seen anyone in any of my doctor's waiting rooms just sitting
doing nothing. Not even if they're waiting to be "worked in". If
they're not flipping through magazines they're talking with the person
who went with them. Others have phones in their hands. Some of them
just take a nap. I have no idea how long they've been sitting there. I
always try to have a scheduled appointment so I don't encounter long
waits. I get there early and am usually called back early, too. Just
lucky, I guess.

They are very easy to recycle, but there are too many of them to have
any value. Jere in CT we pay a deposit on them so we do get our nickle
back anyway.

I've had a pedicure and enjoyed it immensely but usually do my own
toes. Right now I have on navy blue which 5 years ago I'd said
no way! Quite eye catching! Later this summer the purple will be
applied.

I always hated going to the OB/GYN as a-l-l their magazines were for
expectant mothers. Hello! Not all of us sitting in that waiting room
are pregnant; some are just here to get a yearly Pap smear.

LOL I was at the grocery store yesterday with my neighbor. Between the
two of us we had a rather loaded cart. At Publix, they always have
someone to bag your groceries. They also take your cart out to your
car. I don't usually need that but yesterday it was appreciated.

Shopping with someone else means twice or thrice the food to load into
the trunk. (You should have seen the size of the cantaloupe she
bought!) Some of the bags had to go in the back seat.

The "bag boy" saw some DVD's she was planning to return to the library
sitting on her back seat. One of them was 'The Witches of Eastwick'.
This guy young guy, maybe 19 years old, laughed and said, "Oh, I know
that movie. Cher ! It's a 1980's movie. I wasn't even born yet."
(laughing) Gee, thanks for pointing that out.

So you think that just because your plastic bottles are picked up at
the curb they are being recycled. Maybe, maybe not. read the article
that I posted separately. It is no longer about how easy it is to
recycle an item.
I know the article is long. But there is info we all need to know.

EEEEEEEEEEEK no, just don't go there. You want to wear socks, wear
shoes or tennis shoes. You want to wear sandals, just keep your
toenails trimmed and free of toe jam. You don't have to wear polish,
just keep those tootsies clean.

That's your lesson for the day.

Wow. Thank goodness I don't have to pay to park to go to the doctor.
Or dentist. Or the grocery store. Or pretty much anywhere. There
aren't any parking meters in places where I go on a regular basis.

It is not a much of a problem in my little world. Parking in our town is
free. I find it annoying to have to pay when I go to nearby cities. It
is infuriating to see parking enforcement officers getting carried away
with their little bit of authority. One of those cities has decided to
scrap paid parking. It let to a real resurgence in a downtown area that
had been suffering.

Â* Our daughter worked there before she moved over to Gus's chicken .
Part of the reason she left was because there were problems with pest
management that were going unaddressed ...

You really don't know what you're talking about so shut up, old lady.
You seem to think I'm imprisoned on Dataw. Good lord.

Where do you think I do my shopping? We're talking about parking
meters. There aren't any parking meters at the grocery stores. Or in
the doctor's offices or dentist's offices. Dave makes it sound like you
have to feed the meter and worry about feeding it again if a doctors
appointment runs long. Sorry, but I don't understand that.

In the Beaufort area, medical offices have private parking lots. No
parking meters. I have no idea why you seem to have a problem with
that. Not having to pay to park and feed a meter is a bonus.

I have no idea why you equate this to my living in "old land". You
might as well get over it. I don't care what you think about where I
live. I don't want to live in a high-rise condo. <shrug>

Only a horny woman who neglects to wear panties
has a man do her pedi so he can peep up her crotch.

My wife has mani/pedis all the time, she says only young Asian women
know how to do nails. She goes to a Vietmanese joint, she says young
Vietmanese women are the only ones who do an expert job.

I've never seen a parking meter at any of those places either.
