Default A summer dinner last night

Most of us do more grilling in nice weather and last night was a good
one here. Simple menu, very tasty

Porterhouse steak, medium rare
Tomato salad with olive oil, garlic, oregano
Warm sourdough bread

Beverage was Willet bourbon with a splash of water

Dessert was strawberries.

life is good

We had chuck eye steak pan fried to desired doneness of medium, pink but not
bloody, with a cucumber salad, slice of french bread from Columbo package.
Dessert was orange SF Jell-O.

Â* Ours was grilled country style pork ribs with baked potatoes and
grilled yellow squash and zucchini slices . My dessert was a creamsicle
float (ice cream and OJ) .

Bourbon and steak is a good combo. I was not in the mood for wine.

It's cold here. I made beef stew. Gardener wanted a salad as well. I had
enough stuff to cobble together a salad from the garden but added Swiss
cheese, pecans, black olives and Craisins.

Spent from dinner time and on making cookies. Am doing the Mexican wedding
cakes now. Looks like I'll be up for a while! Thought I had pretty much used
up the flour. Have only a small amount of whole wheat pastry flour. Thought
I had used all the AP and whole wheat but... Surprise! Found another bag of
whole wheat. Not sure what to do with it. Don't need bread and certainly no
more cookies. Might make a pizza with some of it tomorrow as our weather has
turned oddly mild.
