Did anyone ever find butterbeans in Houston, Texas?
They are NOT Lima beans. They are Southern butter beans. I am from Mississippi also and my Grandmother always raised them in her garden. Looking for them around Houston. |

Look at your supermarket Bush's Beans in supermarket CANS was why I started making my OWN home made "baked beans". Bush COOKS THEM ION THE CANS HORRIFICALLY HARD to thoroughly KILL everything inside the cans making the beans into MUSH! I'm just having my breakfast (YUM!) and some of the home made "baked beans" I made last night too! Beans are slightly al dente just like I like them, but I need more cayenne pepper! John Kuthe... |

Looking for them around Houston. Butter beans and lima beans are the same bean... what they are called is regional. Full sized limas are Fordhooks, however different varieties are different sizes and different colors. Baby limas are botanically a diferent bean, not an immature Fordhook. Walmart carries this brand, I've tried many Margaret Holmes products and liked them all. Read the discription and notice I'm correct: https://margaretholmes.com/products/...-butter-beans/ |
