Yesterday I was in our local bakery coffee shop having a coffee and a
muffin while I did my crossword puzzle. A woman started whining to the
server about having to wait so long for her lunch saying that she had
been waiting for over half an hour. She had come into the place after I
had picked up my stuff at the counter and sat at a table. I was only
about half way through my muffin and crossword and had barely started on
my coffee, so that reinforced my time estimate that she had been there
less than 10 minutes. Pity the staff who have to put on a pleasant face
to deal with people like that.

I wasn't bothered so much about her complaining to the server. What
annoyed me more was that she lied about the time. She had not been there
for half an hour. She had only been there for about 10 minutes. They
make great sandwiches there, and there were other orders being prepared.
Her sandwich arrived about two minutes later.

I can tell that the weight of the world rests on your shoulders. I
don't envy you.

He gets pretty worked up on really minor stuff. Didn't he used to pick
up trash and strew it through business places? That takes a lot of
devotion to do all that work. Picking, sorting, transporting, strewing.

Yeah, like when Popeye brays out some of his outrageous whoppers.

The other day, he claimed he had sex with a nun in the vatican.

But that was because he was the strongest looking man she'd ever seen.
What else was the nun to do? I'm thinking about a spinach diet myself
now.

Yep. He eats lots of spinach. He had to, in order to carry 100 pound
crates of potatoes up three decks on a ladder.
