This looks like a super good deal! Does anyone have this? Do you like it?
The reviews are mostly good but some say they hate it or that it needs
better instructions.

I've heard of Pot In The Box, a guy who worked at Fotomat and he also sold pot to his friends.

Just another pot among hundreds on the market. If it doesn't say "GARDENER APPROVED", then forget it.

I don't have one, but I have looked at them. I also would love to have a
review from anyone here who uses it.

Julie could put one out in the shed so the gardener and his wife can
cook for themselves.

Why is everyone marrying my gardener off? He has no wife. And the shed is

All the lonely women here get worked up the moment you mention your
gardener.

My DIL got one of the "original" ones (whatever brand was touted when they first hit the news),
and the entire bottom section fell off when she took it out of the box. She returned it, but I
think she was discouraged from getting another. (Not very helpful, I know.)

Seeing as how they were way over-priced to start with...yes...a buy.
Best to compare quality and features and repair record other than go by
price alone. Hype sells a lot of stuff.

Ophelia and Julie

I have the 8 qt Instant Pot. I can't get the Sur La table page to load so don't know if it's a good deal. I got mine at Target for $89.on sale

Yes, I do like it very much. I can make a fabulous pot roast in 55 minutes, pulled pork in less, frozen chicken straight from the freezer in less than an hour. Everything comes out tasting wonderful.

I had gottten a pressure cooker as a wedding gift years ago and was afraid to use it after a co-worker's incident with it. This thing is easy peasy

Hope to help,
Nellie

You're right, but it does differ in one way You can also brown the meat in it before cooking, which is an advantage to me.

I like that it has it all figured out, but you can also go rogue and adjust the timing for different recipes or meats.

Please check your quotes. I fixed that here and cut away a lot because it

Is it??? Oh I didn't know that! I do have a large pressure cooking as well
as a pressure canner, but I didn't equate them with the Instant pot.

It's clever marketing. . .like calling a girdle Spanx. Pressure
cooker and girdle are old fashioned sounding. The new names don't
bear the same negative association. 'A rose by any other name' etc.
etc., etc.

I've no use for a pressure processor, they cook at too high a
temperature just to save time. I've got no reason to save time at the
expense of poor results. It's like when I was still
working and my boss would ask me when the job would be done
and I'd tell him you have two choices, do you want fast or good. With
wet cooking (braising) the best results are achieved by cooking at the
lowest temperatures. Pot cooking is like ****ing, long and slow is
best... I'm never in a hurry to end the pleasure for a thankless
result... I've not yet met the women who is happy with a two minute
**** or a thirty minute pot roast. Seems from the posts that a lot of
yoose ladies are very used to a two minute ****... lets get it over
with so yoose can get back to tv.

I bet Julie's gardner lasts at least half an hour... and in twenty
minutes is ready for a second helping. LOL

I've got no reason to spend hours and hours to get an inferior
product. Especially stock. You go your way and I will go mine.

women literally drag him to the ground and rape him on the spot.

You don't occasionally enjoy one that's fast, hard, hot, and exhilarating?

Well, I suppose at your age the risk of injury is too great.

Very Occasionally. I much prefer long and drawn out and pleasuring
all my senses. In my experience women require more time than men.
It's a rare women who honestly enjoys a quickie, 99.9% of the time
they are faking it to stroke their egos and get it over with.

Ophelia and Julie

I have the 8 qt Instant Pot. I can't get the Sur La table page to load so
don't know if it's a good deal. I got mine at Target for $89.on sale

Yes, I do like it very much. I can make a fabulous pot roast in 55 minutes,
pulled pork in less, frozen chicken straight from the freezer in less than
an hour. Everything comes out tasting wonderful.

I had gottten a pressure cooker as a wedding gift years ago and was afraid
to use it after a co-worker's incident with it. This thing is easy peasy

Hope to help,
Nellie

==

You certainly have, thank you) I had seen them in the shops, but had
never heard a personal opinion before, so thanks again

Please share what else you use yours for?

Ophelia, I've only had it a couple of months and those are the only three things I've cooked on it, pot roast, chicken, and pulled pork. I like it for the speed. I like that I can come home with a chuck roast and have a nice dinner ready in under an hour.

I'll be trying more after summer because we'll be gone a week here, a week there.
