She already knows how to drive. She doesn't drive standard though. This car
has a 6-speed transmission. That's what people want these days - even more
speeds. Mostly, it's just a gimmick. That car would do better with a
5-speed. As far as the manual shift goes, it's just so-so. The shifter has
an unpleasant rubbery feel. I'd rather have a lightweight 60s-70s vintage
car with a wonderfully direct shifting 4 or 5 speed mated to a higher
revving engine. Of course, you already know all about the joys of driving
something like that.

I'm teaching her to use the handbrake when starting off on a hill. Things
are progressing just swell.

The funny part is that my daughter and the ex's parents are saying that the
cops are familiar with the car and are just looking for an excuse to ticket
it or tow it. How exciting is that? This could get interesting...

Her ex is a restaurateur. In my awesome opinion, they don't make very good spouses or dads. They're never around. That's the breaks.

I just repaired my daughter's Jeep yesterday. A few hours after that, my VW sprang a leak from the radiator hose. Luckily, we got that extra car. The lord giveth and then he taketh but theneth he giveth yethet again. Hee hee.
