So, I was speaking to John because he posted he feels like a stranger in his
country. I feel free. John spends a lot of time apologizing for his place in
the world, I think that's sad. I don't, never did, never will. I feel
blessed to be an American. Oh, and I don't care how people live their lives

All my grandparents came from Poland in the early 1900's. They did
nothing to the native people here. I feel no historical guilt at all.

the world that didn't take it by force from someone else at one time or
another, and I'm just fortunate to be born in this one. Greatest country in

It's curious that the native people are upset about having lost land to
white settlers generations ago. They call it genocide, but they only
seem to be upset about the part where their culture was lost to white
society and completely overlook the real acts of genocide committed by
natives against other natives.

There is a reason there are 60 different indigenous languages in Canada.
They didn't get along with each other. They claim ancestral rights to
vast tracts of land, but their boundaries were fluid because they only
had limited control over those lands as long as they could keep their
neighbours off it. I live in the Niagara Peninsula, and the native
people of this region were wiped out in a conflict between their
neighbours, the Huron and the Iroquois.

My family roots in Canada go back to the early 1600s. My earliest
Canadian ancestors were French. In the 18th they were German and
Scottish, then Irish and English. They build a country, and many of
them fought for it.

We are in the unfortunate position of having a prime minister who was
born into wealth and privilege who things that we now have to apologize
for the behaviour of the previous generations and to compensate them for
the loss of their traditional lifestyle with the commercial and
industrial products of the culture into which they do not want to be
