No, no, it's a really good movie. Lot's of 'special effects' for 1949.

Statues that turn their heads and follow Beauty's father when he first
comes upon the Beasts' castle and other goodies.

It's all in French with English subtitles unless you are proficient in
the language.

You're welcome and it's a 1946 movie, not 1949. Definitely not the Disney
version.
