My problem is that I can't stuff my face with enough food at a buffet to
justify a $29 to $65 entry fee. I have seen FOB Chinese guys with huge
plates of food at all-you-can- eat joints. I don't know how they do it. They
tend to be really skinny middle aged people. I've even seen old Chinese
ladies doing this too. It's highly amusing and wondrous!

You are not alone. I can't eat large amounts at one time either so it would
be a waste for me too.

You can't please everyone. The drive in and out of here has got to be one of the most pleasant/spectacular in the country. OTOH, driving in Honolulu and many places on this rock just sucks because of congestion. When we were kids, we used to hold our breaths when going through this tunnel.

I prefer to know what's happening around me in the world so no KFing for me. I read most everything. Besides, I have to know what the heathens here are doing at all times.

Hmmmm... Thanks for the warning. I'm going to go very soon but
I'll keep my very first purchase to a minimum in case the food
does turn out 'not all that'

I believe that you will like it. It's Chinese style food in that it's cooked at high temperatures in a wok and mostly meat with vegetables and sauce. It's fast food with more vegetables and not a burger and fries. What's not to like? Just don't expect it to be the old American style Chinese food. It's the new American style Chinese food. The young folks like it.

I used to love the "Beijing Express" here. They left and now
across the street is "Panda Express." Same store setup, same
webpage set up. I really think they just changed names for
whatever reason. If panda is the same, I'll absolutely love it.
OK...later this week. Now I'm curious.

The most annoying are those who know that they are complete losers and
in a lot of bozo bins so they keep nymshifting to get around the
filters. They are desperate to be heard.

LOL!

On Waikiki though, I did enjoy that area but kept it as 'somethng
special' rather than going there too often and getting jaded over it.
In the 3 years there, I think we went 4 times (one was a free room for
our honeymoon when I got Sailor of the Quarter and it was part of the
gift pack).

The younger generation likes to trek to Waikiki. Older folks tend to stay away. The problem is that driving in and out of there is a hassle. Finding parking is a major hassle. OTOH, if we were staying at a hotel, that would be fine with me. We can walk around the place without worrying about parking in a setting where nobody knows our name. We could eat some pretty awesome food there too.

The thing is that even if you don't killfile, you're still not obliged
to read everybody and everything. I skip whole threads if they don't

What????? Is that true? Fourteen hours of my day will be freed up now.
I will seek out my children and use my free time to find out what they

Yes, and that used to be such a great group a few years ago, now not so
great, though I have gotten some good answers recently.

I use the kill file there. Just a few minutes ago there was 53 new
posts, but only 7 passed the KF.

You were/are always one of the helpful ones there many years ago and now.

I was curious so I visited the group - VERY briefly. It's a sewer!

Yes, and it's a real shame because it used to be so full of good information
and very helpful posters for home related issues. I imagine a lot of them
got tired of the BS and moved on.

We ate at Panda Express this evening. It's a pretty good place if you're looking for low carbs.

Thank you for posting that! Seriously since I have it in mind
now. That dish looks good. I would have that over rice but I
guess you just chose not to have rice. (Hard to eat rice with
those damn chopsticks. heh)

I did look at their online menu. Seems they are not the same as
"Beijing Express" and maybe not even related at all. The menu I
saw lacks most of what I normally order.

Beijing Express had a full traditional Chinese restaurant menu.
Panda Express seems to have created their own custom dishes.

I'll try them but I might have to just find a new, good chinese
place. I have a few in mind. It's just a matter of getting my
lazy butt out again after 11am to buy. I hate places that open so
late. Lazy, sleepy turds rarely get my business.
