I have done that in the past. Write an e-mail and say everything that I
feel needs saying, no holds barred, get it off my chest and then I feel
m-u-c-h better after I read the draft. Then I delete it.

To each their own, of course. Nevertheless, the comparison with

They do look sweet. Not particularly "puffy", either. But thanks for

Off your meds or do your glasses need cleaning? Hopscotch wasn't mentioned;
at least not by me.

It's different for men. When a guy drinks milk in movies, it's a symbolic gesture or it makes a statement about themselves. Mostly, adults drink milk only in the privacy of their homes.

That doesn't make a lick of sense. You might as well criticize
children for drinking milk from another species.

Milk is consumed by adults cuz the American Dairy Council sez we should.
No other reason (well, dairy farmers like $$, also).

I never know what the heck dsi1 is talking about.

BTW, I didn't say anything about "washing down" my breakfast with milk.
I didn't mention milk at all. Kuthe is the one who mentioned Andy.
IIRC as often as Andy mentioned milk he also posted "washing it down"
with *Budweiser*. Ugh!

This adult consumes milk because she likes the taste, especially
when contrasted with something sweet.

Near as I can tell, it's kind of a thing these days. No doubt this will be good news for some of the posters here. I did have some macadamia nut milk yesterday. It was not bad although it needed some salt. I like Mexican rice milk but that would send my blood sugars sky high. That's the breaks.

Why even say anything to me about hopscotch when I never said anything about
it my post? You just thought it was funny and my post was the appropriate
place to get a chuckle out of it?

I don't have any problem with that. My question is whether or not this was a common thing in white culture. I know Asians don't typically do this.

I had never even heard of them before. It is an interesting concept, but
muffins are so easy and we like to eat them with a variety of jams or honey.

I use a little on cold cereal and on porridge, though I am more likely
to use almond milk or oat milk. It's been decades since I have drunk a
glass of milk. I just can't think of it as a beverage. When I was young
I used to be able to choke it down with chocolate in it, but even that
doesn't work for me anymore. I do eat and make ice cream and milk based
puddings, and I use it for baking. I just can't drink the stuff.

My anti-milk neighbor uses almond milk on cereal. When I asked why he
said he's trying to be more healthy. I guess he never read the
ingredients on the carton of almond milk.

If people don't want to drink milk, they shouldn't. I like milk, always
have.

You have a point. Walmart organic almond milk:
"organic almondmilk (filtered water, organic almonds), orgain organic
protein blend tm (organic brown rice protein, organic pea protein),
organic natural flavors, tricalcium phosphate, organic rice bran
extract, potassium citrate, organic locust bean gum, gellan gum, sea
salt, natural flavor, ergocalciferol (vitamin D2)"

And that's organic!

I don't consider myself to be anti milk. It is just anti milk for me. I
never liked it. The taste was not disgusting, it is just that it when
down my throat like slimy phlegm and then gave me gas and diarrhea. It
turned me off the stuff. I use in in cooking and on cereal, but it just
doesn't appeal as something to drink.

French Breakfast Puffs

They are muffin-like but when taken out of the oven, the tops are immediately dipped in melted butter,
and then rolled in cinnamon/sugar. There is nutmeg in the muffin.

I don't know why they are called "puffs" ... Just to make, them sound fancy, maybe.

There is so much of that going on these days, big fancy words for things as
basic as boiling water.

That's the way shared student living works! As long as everyone is respectful and considerate of others everything work well! I even had a sexual relationship circa year 2000 with a woman from Nepal! Of HER initiative too! That was fun!

If drinking milk gives you gas and diarrhea I'd say you're lactose

And cereal; what do anti-milk people like notbob put on cereal - coffee?
There is nothing that goes better with chocolate cake (mmmm, devil's food)
than a cold glass of milk. Other than cheddar cheese, it's also the best
thing to have with hot apple pie.

===

Ahaaaaaaaaaaa cheddar cheese with apple pie!!!! Now you are talking) That
is a very Yorkshire thing)

As for milk on cereal or coffee .. I don't have either)

As always, we all have our preferences and that is just how it should be)

Duh. Most Asians are lactose-intolerant. It's true I don't see a lot
of adults drinking milk. I simply don't care. I eat and drink what I
like.

First time I heard of that, I thought, "How strange."
Then I remembered that I like the combo of:
- good cracker
- slice of apple
- slice of sharp cheddar

I had just that for lunch the other day too, btw.

So I tried sharp cheddar with apple pie and yes, very good combo.
Other than that, I'll take the pie plain or with some vanilla
icecream.
