A science fiction television series that ran from about 2006 to 2010.
We just finished re-watching it by streaming on Amazon prime. The
premise was:

A U.S. Marshall becomes the sheriff of a remote cozy little Northwestern town of Eureka where the best minds in the US have secretly been tucked away to build futuristic inventions for the government which often go disastrously wrong.

I was checking out one of the new non-violence burgers yesterday. It uses GMO modified yeast cells to produce one of the components of animal blood as a flavor enhancer. It's a pretty cool idea but it was going for $14/lb. That's £10.6/lb. That's a little steep for me. Come to think of it, £3/lb was still too steep for me. I got pork instead. I predict we shall be eating a lot of pork.

These days it's about all I can afford. One of these days, I'm just going to go full vegetarian. My daughter buys vegan burgers and sausages. I'm getting the feeling that she'd probably like ditching meat. Evidently, she loves animals - just not in the way that involves dismantling and consuming them.

I can understand that. We have reduced our meat consumption a lot in recent
years.

It would be great. Meat eaters can still eat meat, animals no longer
have to suffer and it would be better for the environment. I bet it
will be heavily taxed.
