![]() Wow! It's the Kitchenaid Professional 600. I never even got a chance to do autolyse. The newly designed dough hook and larger, wider bowl made the ingredients pull together almost instantly while my husband was still listening and watching for defects in the new machinery. I've never had a bread mixing bowl come this clean, ever. This mixer claims to be able to handle 8 pounds of dough. I don't believe my oven can handle 8 pounds of dough. Anyway, the mixer flew through the first tryout like a champ. Janet US |

The old one was a gift from my mother-in-law, nearly 40 years ago (it's a Hobart). It still works beautifully, and now sits on my daughter's kitchen counter. |

That is why mine only stayed with me briefly and now resides quite happily with one of my kids who uses it well. The kid adores it and I am pleased it found a better home. Its fault lay only with me. |

I bought the Artisan model purely for cake making to replace my old Kenwood that has a faulty speed control. I already had a powerful Bosch for bread dough. I must say I really enjoy using the KA.
