We only had one trick or treater, so tiny she had to be pushed up in a carriage. No one wants to venture into the dark woods, I guess. My house is pretty spooky looking from the street, and everyone knows a bear or two has been roaming around here lately.

No one trick or treated me, no one has for the past seven years.
The school has Halloween parties. It's a shame how the world has
changed... as kids the worst we did was use those big chalks to mark
up peep's stoops... first rain washed it away. Back then most peeps
gave out nickles, candy bars cost a nickle, could buy what you liked.
I'm very ****ed at what happened to my favorite holiday, used to be a
lot of fun making ones costume and banging on neighbors doors, was
never any problems. I was always a pirate.

Sheldon, I agree. Besides school parties, the malls all seem to have organized activities, and sad to say, I
think parents would rather not walk around neighborhoods, dressed up, like they used to. As young parents,
we really enjoyed trick or treating along with our kids. But we took an empty old-fashioned glass, or a tumbler
with ice in it. Needless to say, it took us several hours to walk our 4 block street. LOL. It was SO fun.

Oh screw that!! I know at least some of the kids that came here were driven in cars, probably, We has 7 or 8 groups or individuals! I GAVE OUT all my Snickers, three bags of Bite Sized, figuring we'd have to eat a lot! But NOPE!

Why not make yourself up a pirate costume and start trick or treating again?

People would accept you, if you could control your filthy mouth and be
half way civil. Or, is that too high a cost Popeye?

I have had none, which is a good thing because I didn't buy any candy at
all, but figured if I did get a few I would give them a dollar. My street is
dark and dead.

I'd show up for a dollar. Oh, wait...I had to give out candy. We had 27
kids times two pieces and I had bought nine bags of fun sized primo
candy. My teeth should rot nicely into the new year.

When kids stopped coming around here, we put 5.00 in envelopes with a note
to buy the candy they want for the kids that lived on our street and took
them to their houses, there were not many and they were always thrilled. I'm
sure your treats were not cheap.

I got no kids. Guy next door had a party. There were young adults/older
teens there. The kids that live by the mail box were not home when I got
home. There is a toddler boy next door. They were home but I don't think he
went out.

Angela and her friend did come over. I offered them cupcakes, brownies, corn
muffins and the Halloween treats. They took a few treats. He took a brownie
and he took a corn muffin.
