Well, that's trends for you. One day you're cool and the next, ridiculous. My guess is that the tribal/hipster look is way over. OTOH, fashion moves so rapidly that it could be cool again. |

One of the girls had a new boyfriend who had a full head of hair originally but started shaving his head for years as a fashion thing. She wondered how he would look with all his hair, so he let it grow out for her. As it grew back, he was horrified to discover that during all those shaving years, he had turned half bald naturally. Only side hair was growing back. Funny episode. |

Most of the people there were from the UK or UK expats living in New York. All the men from the UK had used electric clippers to cut their hair short. It must be some sort of male UK thing. They seem to have rejected all things having to do with hair. It might be that UK men consider hair preparation to be a frivolous female trait. Well, that's my guess anyway. I hadn't really noticed, must be the fashion and I don't take to much notice of that stuff ![]() Men wearing their hair in buns are not a big deal in Hawaii as it is on the mainland. Long hair on Asian and Polynesian men isn't considered odd. We don't laugh at men wearing skirts either. Typically, skirts are worn by Samoans and Tongans on Sunday to go to church. The "lavalava" is their "Sunday best" and the most traditional clothes they wear. Do the Scots wear kilts to go to Church and/or formal functions? Usually some kind of event, yes, formal functions I think there are a few in the far north who always wear it but not so much around here ![]() I don't see many unless I do go up North ![]() |
