That's what I mean. Things weren't always better in the past. And in a
100 years time, we'll be the good old days. The cycle just goes on.
Older people will always complain about the present and about
"today's" youth. Bleah.

That's because we only refresh and remember the GOOD things that happened long ago, and we BLOT OUT boring or bad memories for the most part!

Selective memories are responsible for the "good old days" skewing of human memories!
