The question is, why is he bothering to talk about it at all? I don't
know about you but I don't care a whit about his finances.

I'm thinking everyone here would be better off if we knew each other
better and alleviate the animosity we sometimes see. . Everyone will
post their monthly financial report on the 10th of the month. Sub
categories would be how many gallons of gas we burned too.

Mine too, that is ever since the lower grades contain ethonol...
ethonol mkes engines run rougher and gives poorer MPG.

My guess is that the high octane gas also contain ethanol. It does lower your fuel mileage but the ethanol also suppressed engine knock which allowed me to use one grade lower of gasoline. I didn't notice my engines running rougher. Perhaps you had a potato stuck up your tailpipe.

LOL!

We co-exist and income is not a related value to the posts made. On
gas, I gas up every 2-3 weeks and am city driving at 26MPG.

cshenk, that is almost as little as I use....I gas up once about every two months. I get about 22 mpg in town, but I just never go anywhere...I drive about 2000 miles a year. The farthest I have gone in one trip in the past 3 years is 35 miles, one way. LOL.

Just curious...how did you drive 35 miles one way?
Did you never go home? Did you move that far one way?

Anyway, I'll take your 2000 per year and raise you my
annual mileage.

Try 150 miles in the last 6 months. I should probably
get rid of this thing. Cost per mile is a joke but
convenience of having a vehicle on hand is priceless.

Family my ass.

OB Food: I'm going to make salisbury steaks (from scratch) using ground
chuck patties, hand formed, seasoned with salt & pepper and cooked in a
skillet on both sides with minced onions and garlic until the veggies
are tender and translucent. Drain off most of the fat. Add some beef
broth or stock and if necessary a bit of water. A couple of splashes of
Worcestershire sauce is crucial. Cover and let it simmer on low heat
until the the liquid cooks down. Make a cornstarch slurry to thicken
the gravy.

I'll serve this mashed potatoes and <gasp> *steamed* short cut green
beans. Dinner will be delicious, I can assure you.

Some members of my family fight like cats in a sack.

That's why I have nothing to do with 90% of my family.

LOL too true! Sorry, but Kuthe is not a long lost relative. He's a nut.
