It's a very long growing >season. ![]() Still there is much produce that won't grow well in the heat of the south; apples, pears, cherrys, etc. I doubt anyone chooses where to live based on what crops grow well in an area. Citrus won't grow here yet it's at local markets every day... citrus ships well. With the advent of aircraft all produce can be shipped fresh, that's why Bananas are readily available throughout North America. |

I expect to crop about 200 this year (lower than last year due to a wind storm just as they were flowering out). We pulled about 20 for 2 apple pies and a frind came and picked another 10 just before that storm hit (?Sunday?). They will be back this weekend for more with another friend. Main crop of apples in August but some through September. |
