I went to KFC yesterday for their 2 piece Tuesday special. I have been eating low salt, and I found their chicken to be far too salty. In fact all I tasted was salt, I did not taste any of their herbs and spices. It's always like that whenever I go there, and I only go there if someone I'm with wants to go. I like their fries though; they're not bad and yesterday they were pretty fresh.

I like their fries though; they're not bad and yesterday they were pretty fresh. I just answered this and then lost the message before I could post it...dammit. I'll say again then: You must eat low sodium meals if salt is all you can taste. I can taste the spicing and I usually even salt the chicken when eating. It's been many years since I've eaten there but it's time to go again. That last time I had 2 identical coupons: For $2.99, get a thigh, a drumstick, one small side and a biscuit. They let me use both coupons so I came home with 2 thighs, 2 drums, one small coleslaw, one small mashed potatoes/gravy and 2 biscuits. Enough for one good lunch plus a snack later. The chicken was "original recipe" and it was a feast for a king. So tasty. |

I'm not all that fond of fried chicken, and we've got a couple of local places that are much better than the last KFC I recall eating. Cindy Hamilton |

I like salt so much I would buy a bucket of skin.
I do counter it with 3 bp meds a day. |

I like their fries though; they're not bad and yesterday they were pretty fresh. I had it once or twice as a kid. My mom claims that I used to love fried chicken. I don't remember ever loving it. We had a KFC within a block of our house. So we had it sometimes during the summer. The neighbors would sit around drinking, and at some point, the men would walk up there and get some buckets. I do remember liking the mashed potatoes. They came with gravy. We never had gravy with our mashed potatoes at home unless my mom cooked a turkey and that was rarely. |

It was an introduction, for a lot of kids, to eating meat. Very shortly, it will play another important role, introducing kids to eating vegan or cultured meat i.e., "clean" meat. |

Secondly, we all hear about >clueless parents making poor dietary chooses for their kids, but I >think they're in a minority, or at least only certain demographics >anyway. Maybe in dsi1's circles, dinner for children means a bucket of chicken nuggets. Australian McDonalds chicken nuggets: "Chicken, Water, Flour (Wheat, Corn), Canola Oil, Starch (1420, 1422, Corn, Wheat, Tapioca), Mineral Salts (450, 500, 451, 341, 327), Salt, Spices (Celery, White Pepper, Black Pepper), Sunflower Oil, Dextrose." American McDonalds Chicken nuggets: White Boneless Chicken, Water, Vegetable Oil (Canola Oil, Corn Oil, Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil), Enriched Flour (Bleached Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Bleached Wheat Flour, Yellow Corn Flour, Vegetable Starch (Modified Corn, Wheat, Rice, Pea, Corn), Salt, Leavening (Baking Soda, Sodium Aluminum Phosphate, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Calcium Lactate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Spices, Yeast Extract, Lemon Juice Solids, Dextrose, Natural Flavors. |

You don't know nothing about America or Hawaii. You don't know a thing about American kids and what they eat. You're ignorant about what's happening on the food scene or what's trending or about the younger generation's concerns about eating meat and the meat industry's unsustainable, cruel, methods.. The younger generation is so ready for products like this. You don't know a thing about my feelings about Chicken McNuggets nor will I be disclosing that information to the likes of you. Please confine your comments to something you know something about - you parasite! My fearless prediction: in the new world of fake meat, chickpeas are going to be trending. Soybeans are so yesterday. https://www.salon.com/2019/07/23/an-...ush-speeds-up/ |

The younger generation is so ready for products like this. Let me quote myself: "maybe on his rock fast food is how you feed your children?" That's a question, not a statement. I never claimed to know anything about Hawaii other than what you portray and that ain't pretty. >You don't know a thing about my feelings about Chicken McNuggets nor will I be disclosing that information to the likes of you. Evidently, the only thing you have knowledge is stuff your little mind fantasizes about me. That's just sad and completely pointless - except as some kind of therapy for you. Are you posting from a mental institution? |
