Default Jammin' again ...

Â*Â*Â* We put up 10 more half pints of peach jam (I ain't explainin' the
process Sheldumb) this morning and since I peeled too many I bagged the
leftovers with a little sugar and stuck 'em in the freezer . We still
have a half dozen or so that are still a bit too green , when the ripen
a little more they too will go into the freezer . That bushel of peaches
went farther than I thought it would !

Ironic you should post this, because just this morning while I was savoring
my morning tea (otherwise known as procrastinating going to work) I was
thinking I should do up some peaches and peach jam. Since peaches arent
native here, I havent done them in years. I generally stick with berry
and hot pepper jams. I didnt plant any garden at all this year (save one
tomato plant), so no canning for me unless I buy things at the market. My
dad still helps a local farmer harvest his sweet corn, so Ill probably
have access to tons of that coming up.
