![]() Â*Â*Â* We put up 10 more half pints of peach jam (I ain't explainin' the process Sheldumb) this morning and since I peeled too many I bagged the leftovers with a little sugar and stuck 'em in the freezer . We still have a half dozen or so that are still a bit too green , when the ripen a little more they too will go into the freezer . That bushel of peaches went farther than I thought it would ! -- Snag Yes , I'm old and crochety - and armed . Get outta my woods ! |

That bushel of peaches > went farther than I thought it would ! > Ironic you should post this, because just this morning while I was savoring my morning tea (otherwise known as procrastinating going to work) I was thinking I should do up some peaches and peach jam. Since peaches arent native here, I havent done them in years. I generally stick with berry and hot pepper jams. I didnt plant any garden at all this year (save one tomato plant), so no canning for me unless I buy things at the market. My dad still helps a local farmer harvest his sweet corn, so Ill probably have access to tons of that coming up. |
