![]() Tiny little new potato babies from the potatoes we recently dug, a small cabbage cut early and a portion of wild caught salmon for each of us. Watermelon for dessert First fruits. I figure my garden is at least 6 weeks behind this year. It has been unseasonably cool and always gray. Nothing is happening out there. I think I see 5 tomatoes beginning to change color. I've had 5 cucumbers so far. Never had a season like this before. Janet US |

Potatoes grow where you live? Just a few hundred miles from your home, small potatoes cost a fortune at the supermarket. Someday, I will be able to afford a few to boil, smoosh and fry. I'm saving my nickels and dimes and looking forward to the experience. leo |

I have days when anything quick would be good. Although, I have been cheating lately. With all the talk over the last year about how to cook bacon, I have been frying up a package of chopped bacon and storing it in the freezer. Also doing a package of unchopped bacon in the oven as well. Nice to have for BLT and so forth. Janet US |
