Drummond the Pioneer Woman made an interesting bean dish. Pinto beans soaked overnight. Then put into a pot with water and heat. Add chopped onions, garlic, bell pepper and spices(I've got 'em all at home); sweet paprika, cayenne, cumin and chili powder. That's it. Simmer for 3.5 hours and serve. Comments? Looks decent as a side; main dish?

Still eatin' 'em. typically: 1 lb dried pinto beans cooked fer 6 hrs. oil + fresh garlic, fresh onion, 1 bunch fresh cilantro (chopped), fresh Serrano chilies (w/ seeds(opt)), Mex spices -- cooked in separate skillets-- then added. Add one pound of burger! ![]() nb |

Blame Food Network for that though. |

Looks decent as a side; main dish? I've tried all her bean iterations and they are all good. My husband really likes them as well. This one will work as a side or with a Tex/Mex meal or in tacos or burritos. Janet US |

Looks decent as a side; main dish? I have made similar. Quick soak though and no paprika. |
