Happy Fall Equinox. It has certainly turned cooler here in the Pacific Northwest.

Yesterday I made a big pot of Corsican soup. A great comfort food and perfect for our cooler Fall weather.

That looks interesting, but it is not quite soup season in southern
Ontario. It will be soon. I went out for motorcycle ride last night
with just a shirt on (top). My comfort soup is French Canadian pea
soup. I should pick up a smoked ham hock soon because this wonderful
weather is going to break soon.

Only in the low 80's here today and somewhat overcast, too. The cooler
temperature was certainly welcomed by me!

A shirt; long sleeve perhaps. When I go for a walk, I warm up anyway.

Yes, I'd like some soup weather, please.

Your soup looks good. I make two relatively quick-cooking soups right
through the summer: split red lentils or vegetable soup.

Looks good! I'm still waiting for cool weather. I thought perhaps
October but it may be November before it cools here on the Southeast coast.

I checked the ingredients. I stopped trying other people's recipes a long time ago when there was too much error to trial ratio. I would make you soup. But what I am not a cook per se. I make the base. In this case that would be the beans. Maybe the onions and some spices too. Everything else would be added individually each day. I eat the same thing 6 days in a row. I do it with hot soups and stews and cold pasta and potato salads. I find making things separately is a safer way to do things. I make the base and prep the other stuff, blanching some, adding others raw each day. I am not alone. I remember a regular in this group once posted his recipe for jambalaya (or something similar). He owned a restaurant. I can't remember his name - but could if my life depended on it and I had time. He said he used to make the jambalaya the usual way, adding the rice during the cooking, but found in the long haul that he does better adding it at the end already cooked. It's amazing how things blend down in little time in the fridge. I sometimes poach chicken and use it in cold pasta salads and also in hot dishes with other stuff thrown in individually each day. I found your recipe ingredients not too overwhelming, but trying to make everything at once has risks not known to the prepping method. Also, with prepping one is allowed each day to switch up various ingredients, and if things don't turn out as great as you wished, well it's only one day, and it's not the end of the world. Anyway, I like the ingredients in your soup. Just posting to say I like my prep method of cooking and recommend it to others, especially those like myself who don't mind eating the same basic thing 6 days in a row. (with alterations available of course).

I made chili a couple of days ago. Still have a small amount of that left. I
just roasted some green beans and Delicata squash. Got a bag of "Pad Thai"
veggies marked down and cooked those too. We're trying to eat more veggies.
