I have written in the past about my disappointment in Vietnamese food. I
have to take that back. It may be that it was just that I had been to cheap places. Last night we took my and his girlfriend to dinner for his birthday and he wanted to go to the (only) Vietnamese place in town. I had never been before because I just couldn't get excited about Vietnamese food. This place was a pleasant surprise. It had an extensive menu that was not mostly bowls of soup and noodles. I had a wonderful yellow curry with chicken, potato and sweet potato. One of our appetizers was some of best deep fried squid I have ever had. |

Glad to hear you've found a good Vietnamese restaurant. There's nothing wrong with a bowl of soup and noodles, but I always see that as lunch fare, not dinner. Cindy Hamilton |

Soups and sandwiches are lunch. I didn't see the point in going for supper. I will be going to this place more often. |

That curry sounds wonderful, similar to a Massaman curry which is common here. I think the best seafood I ever had was in Saigon, a huge range of choices available. The Vietnamese really know how to do seafood. |
