Tomorrow would be a good time to buy one. Monday might be OK. Tuesday is
iffy.

I bought mine a week ago. Friday after work I took it out of the beer-fridge
freezer and put it in the refrigerator compartment. Should be nicely defrosted
by Thursday.

Â* My wife got ours yesterday . It's in the refrigerator thawing for
dinner on Wednesday - because she has to work on T-day so y'all can buy
a bunch of cheap-ass "special buys" at WallyWorld .

Not me. Only a dire emergency (out of butter, for example) would send
me shopping on Thanksgiving (or Christmas). Given that I'm organized
and prepared (and usually have a couple of pounds of butter in the
basement freezer), that's vanishingly unlikely.

I'm sorry your wife has to work on the holiday, but I hope your Wednesday
feast is enjoyable.

Only time I ruined an apple pie was the time I made one with
Granny Smith apples. Nasty things, imo.

My job for Thanksgiving is to make a cheesecake. Not sure where the
recipe originated by we've had it probably 50 years. This time though,
I'm going to change it. Instead of milk, I'm going to use 1/3 milk, 2/3
heavy cream.
