Heres my second time making cornmeal dumplings with ham and beans. The
first time I had dense dumplings in broth. This time I made a better dumpling, but the broth nearly disappeared. Next time, Ill use a pot instead of a pan to make the damned things with a lot of broth. The dumplings were fine, but we sure could have used more broth. <https://www.dropbox.com/s/cisyc2ynerni452/corndumpling.jpg?dl=0> Ill pass on inflicting more corn stuff on the group for a while. Im not as crazy about it as my posts appear. Nevertheless, I never heard of a corn dumpling until reading about them here. Its all your fault. leo |

Them my mom made them and both times they were cooked in the broth of a pork roast and both times they were delicious.. Theirs were shaped like quenelles. |

They go very well together, Cornbread dressing has lots of chicken trimmings and also a chicken stock is used. > >leo > -- ____/~~~sine qua non~~~\____ |

Use some flour. I made them small and simmered in the stew. Tasty! Jill |
