Default Oil spray

I bought an oil spray for cooking, similar to this:

https://www.hartsofstur.com/cole-mas...iABEgLLlPD_BwE

It worked well at first but then clogged up. I was using olive oil. Do you
think that was the cause? Too thick?

Any ideas what kind of oil I should use, please?

I said something to this effect in another post. Pure oil does not
mist well if at all.
There is no oil that will work well with it, perhaps if you put
vinegar in with it but that may only mist the vinegar and not the oil.
Oil just is not going to mist unless under pressure.

I couldn't tell you what kind of oil to use. My suggestion is to rinse
the clogged nozzle under *very* hot water. Use a toothpick if needed to
clear the hole in the nozzle.

I don't use an oil mister. I either lightly brush something with oil or
drizzle a little oil from a bottle.

The most interesting about these oil spray gadgets is that they will not work in this space/time dimension. They work great in some of the others. Unfortunately, cell phones won't work in other dimensions so it's probably for the better.

I've always avoided the misters; there were so many complaints about
plugging up. I use one of those floppy silicone pastry brushes(goes
in the dishwasher), then I know where the oil is going. Or, I use a
plastic bag. I put the food items in the bag, add bit of oil and
smush the whole works around.

Thanks, Janet I have been using a brush since I began to have
problems. Well, at least it is a known problem.

Thanks)

I had a mister years ago. I think it was called Misto. I threw it out. Not
only did it clog but it dripped oil everywhere. It was always a slippery,
sticky mess.

Best put in the trash, why would any sane person want to inhale oil
mist???
When I need to oil food/pans I pour and rub it where needed with my
fingers, no mess, no waste, and cooking oil is good for lubricating
skin... people add an ounce of olive oil to their bath water.... we
use large bars of castille bath soap that contains olive oil.
