Default Nutritional information on cereal boxes...

General Mills regular Chex and Honey nut Cheerios cereals with 1/2 cup
skim milk equals 40 more calories. But their chocolate Chex cereal with
1/2 cup skim milk equals 50 more calories. Talking about the "family
size" of each.

if you read the ingredients on cereal boxes, why would you put that stuff in your body?

Chex cereal, chocolate:
whole grain rice, rice, sugar, canola oil, cocoa processed with
alkali, salt, molasses, natural flavor. vitamin e (mixed tocopherols)
added to preserve freshness. vitamins and minerals: calcium carbonate,
iron and zinc (mineral nutrients), vitamin c (sodium ascorbate), a b
vitamin (niacinamide), vitamin b6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin
b1 (thiamin mononitrate), vitamin a (palmitate), vitamin b2
(riboflavin), a b vitamin (folic acid), vitamin b12, vitamin d3

The omnipresent and oh so mysterious "natural flavors"! Who knows what
all y'all are eating.

LOL. The words 'nutrition' and 'cereal' don't belong together in the
same sentence.

Did you know that ground toenails of dead people are a natural
ingredient and could therefore be called a "natural flavor"? And you
eat that?

I loved reading the ingredients list on my cereal box as a kid. Much more interesting than the ADVERTISEMENTS, which were designed for DROOLING MORONS!

And I always loved the TV commercials which usually stated "Part of this complete breakfast". ROFL! Yeah I knew which part too! The DESSERT PART! I now eat a STD BreakFAST: Beans and rice with a little chopped ham for YUM! And a mango for dessert! :-)

I learned to cook because I love great food, and little great food is manufactured by food stuffs manufacturers, who would rather sell you cheap POISONS than good foods.

THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT NUTRITION, IT'S ABOUT NUTRITIONAL
INFORMATION PRINTED ON BOXES.

If you want to talk about nutrition... Let's talk about the gobs of
salt, fat, and sugar some people put into their home baked products.
Cooking is great if it avoids too much ingredients that are known to
cause health hazards. Those bad ingredients are as readily available
to you all as they are to big food manufacturers. Personally, I
couldn't care less about General Mills, I don't even like General
Mills, but I don't like trolls either.

I do very little cooking, but I have avoided ingredients known to
cause health hazards by reading the ingredients labels on packages.
Been doing that for decades. My blood chemistry has always been
practically perfect. Besides taste, I eat to remain healthy, and I
am very healthy.

Am I correct in saying that's 2.3 litres of vodka a day? Or am I
confusing ozzes and flozzes?

For liquids whose specific gravity is approximately the same as water,
ozzes and flozzes are the same. Just as the mass of water in liters
is very close to the volume of water in kilograms.

Vodka's close enough to water for this comparison.

Thanks. So Tomas drinks 2.3 litres of vodka a day. I wouldn't be able
to type in a newsgroup anymore. I might actually be in hospital.

True, but it sounds like Thomas can use a little professional help
rather than alcohol. He is having a tough time. I get it but vodka is
not the answer.
