I don't snack when I watch television so I never developed the habit of eating in movie theatres. Heck, I don't even like popcorn, and even if I did I would not be paying the outrageous prices they charge in theatres. |

OTOH, if you dump a bag of rice crackers in with the popcorn I'm in. Heck, maybe I'll eat the entire bag! https://tastyislandhawaii.com/2014/0...runch-o-bunch/ |

I have a sister in law who had a great figure when I first met her. She had been a competitive skier. Unfortunately, she has a weakness for potato chips and for a while was eating a large bag of them almost every evening. |

Last night a neighbour (87) invited me round to share her new DVD, the Downton Abbey film. I made popcorn and took that and a bottle of wine. She supplied peanuts and sherry. Janet UK |

I LOVE those but have forgotten about them. Reason is that grocery stores seem to be racist. They never put rice crackers in the cracker section. They are only on the bottom shelf of the Asian food section. Used to eat them with a thick creamy dip but I don't remember what the darn dip was. Maybe onion/sour cream dip but it seems like it was maybe something else. |

So look in the Asian food section, and not just for rice crackers. There's a lot of interesting stuff there. > Used to eat them with a thick creamy dip but I don't > remember what the darn dip was. It's tough to find a really good, intense, arare over here. The best one I've found is some that's made in China. I bought a couple of big jars around Christmas. When I went to look for the last one, it was gone. I knew I should have kept that jar under the bed. I'm going to try making my own - maybe then, I can get some satisfaction! |

JUST watched it this morning, Joan, I got the Blu-ray...well worth watching, it is like "comfort food"...you will like it... Now I am watching "Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood". When I saw it in the thee - ater I cried at the end, Sharon Tate lives...it could be considered "alternative history"...the 60's might not have ended as badly as the did....Charles Manson was a MONSTER... One thing I LUV about "Hollywood..." is that Bruce Dern has a small role...one of my fave actors. I liked him in 1962's "The Outer Limits" in "Zanti Misfits", 1964's "Hush Hush, Sweet Charlotte" and then his "hippie"movies....very interesting guy...still going almost 60 years later...!!! Happy Watching...!!! -- Best Greg |

Last night I watched "Hobson's Choice" and "The Nun's Story." "The Nun's Story" most likely would have won some Oscars when it was released in 1959 but it was up against "Ben Hur" and didn't really stand a chance against such an epic film. Both movies I viewed last night are saved on my DVR. |

(in article >): > How were you with Tommy Kirk after he show Old Yeller? I was O.K. with Kirk. He had to do it. It was also a common way to get rid of old and sick dogs in small towns like where I grew up. No vets. €śThey Shoot Horses, Dont They?€ť. Hmmm...that movie also had Bruce Dern in it. Im seeing a pattern. leo |

Wayne told Dern that America will hate him, to which Dern replied €śYeah, but theyll love me in Berkeley.€ť That was on the internet, so it has to be true. https://o.canada.com/entertainment/m...of-the-dernsie |

Oh wait...he died in one of his last movies, "The Shootist." Another good one. |

![]() Bruce Dern almost always played the bad guy in many westerns although I saw one movie where he was the bad guy (bank robber) but he was a nice guy at the end. He gave a bunch of his money to one farmer then helped him build a barn. He was caught there and died in the cornfield after 100 men came to kill him. It was a good movie. Don't know the name of that one though. |
