When I used ES it was often hit and miss. So far, Blocknews.net has
been excellent for $1.99 for 5 gig

I gave up on ES a few years back. Blocknews works fine.

On the ES website, there is a place where you can set it (what looks like a
hostname; in my case 'mduffy') to be whatever you want. I'm sure you know
this; I mention it only to provide context for other people.

If you erroneously put your email address there, it would show for
everyone. Is that what happenned? Or did you choose a (faux) hostname that
was politically incorrect?

ES has been very reliable for years. Might go offline once
a year but only for 6 hours or so. The missing posts are
still there waiting once it goes back on. No worries.

I still got most of my block available. It will be Eternally Available. These days I don't use either. It's a wonderful feeling to not have to deal with all that nonsense.

My post was intended as general advice for other ES users as well, although
I grant the syntax was expressed as queries directly to yourself.

Besides, I did explain a function of the ES site you were unaware of, given
that you have not used it in 10 years. Two posts upstream, you accused me
of using UUCP protocol. Now you 'know your enemy' even better.
