Open one end of the can; then open the other, then push the contents out carefully.Slice. However, this year I'm being BOLD. Cranberries with Apples and Brandy (serves 8) 2 @12 oz bags cranberries 2 med Granny Smith, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2"cubes 1/2 C. Orange Juice 2 C. Sugar 2 T Brandy. Heat oven to 375^ In a 4 qt ovenproof dish, combine all and toss to mix. Cover with lid or foil and bake until the fruit is soft, about 40 min. Remove from the oven and stir. Serve hot, room temp. or chilled. Additionally, I'm doing a simple Pumpkin Soup I got from this NG. Steamed Broccoli with mayo will be the token green thing. Sweet Potatoes, Stuffing (made seperately), pie, coffee - Mike |

I just finished my cranberry sauce (pretty plain, but done in the microwave). I'll cool it at room temp overnight and chill it tomorrow. -- -Barb, <www.jamlady.eboard.com> Updated 10-22-04; Popovers!. (And having seen the recipe for the cranberries, I'd still just refrigerate it rather than freeze it.) -- -Barb, <www.jamlady.eboard.com> Updated 10-22-04; Popovers!. Just refrigerate it. Keep it handy. Make extra, don't freeze it, and have a little bit with many meals in the future. Karen |
