We aren't close to survivalists, but we probably could last a month with what we now have on hand. Not that we'd need to. It's not the end of the world (even though people are acting like it), and mass starvation is not imminent. If we felt we didn't want to go out, we could have groceries delivered. Although my husband has always wanted a place where he could shoot skeet off the back porch, I feel our current situation on two acres outside of town, with good freeway access, a grocery store two miles away, and excellent hospitals less than 10 miles away is pretty much ideal for us.. That was the 2016 campaign propaganda but in reality Trump is a grifter. The whole world, apart from Trump's base, can see that. Much of his money (over $400 million) was inherited although hidden to avoid taxes. Most of Trump's businesses lost money and several went into chapter 11. He doesn't have the brains to run an honest business and nor do his kids. Trump's main money spinner were the fees from "The Apprentice". > The "deep state" cannot control him , they got no dirt or leverage to > bend him to their will. Trump has trodden on the toes of all his allies. His only friends are Russia, Saudi Arabia and North Vietnam. China has been willing to send invaluable medical expertise to Italy but maybe it's unhappy with the Trump trade war to rush to help Uncle Sam. What goes around, comes around. |

The two leaders appeared before the cameras in July after holding a bilateral meeting in the Oval Office where they talked about strengthening Nato, fighting ISIS and resolving Ukraines conflict with Russia. At the time it was viewed as a snub but Mr Trump has now revealed it was all down to a misunderstanding. He said: I had been standing with her for quite a while and then someone started shouting: "shake her hand, shake her hand but I did not hear that. It was then made into a big deal. We're lucky here in our neck o' the woods (pun intended) , most of the neighbors here in The Holler are keeping the woods as woods with very little clear cutting .. I'm consulting with the local forestry services about how to manage our little patch of heaven to make the woods healthier and harvest only what we need . I try to only take trees that are diseased or damaged and thin them to best encourage growth . -- Snag Yes , I'm old and crochety - and armed . Get outta my woods ! |
