Default "Salt Cellar" Wanted

I've been recently searching for a french "Salt Cellar" over the
internet, but have had absolutely no luck. Yes, there are pleanty of
"salt cellars" out there, but not of the particular variety I am
looking for.

Here is an image of the type I would like to buy:
http://www.zebrahall.com/541591.html

This is exactly what I am hoping for, but their version is a child's
reproduction.

I would look to find one in porcelain and it most definitely needs to
have a lid.

I am willing to buy an antique, but it needs to be in near perfect
condition as I intend to use this as a functioning salt cellar rather
than as a collectable.

If anyone can direct me to any internet sites where I could purchase a
"salt cellar" or point me in the direction of any stores in the New
York City area, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, please reply via e-mail so that I receive the message instantly.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sincerely,
Marc A. Leckstein

The reason you can't find one like that is because the repro company has
it mislabeled. A salt cellar is a little thing with a little spoon for
the table. What you are looking at is called a salt box. Due to these
being wall mounted not many exist in porcelain, pottery or enamelware is
a much more common find.

It's an ebay or tias thing online or an antique shop item for the most part.

Try www.fantes.com, and click on the left under "Salt & Salt Pigs". They
ought to have some salt cellars similar to the one you're looking for. Good
luck.
