I needed to renew my drivers licence. I went into town to the eye
doctor to give me a vision test, even without my cataract surgery I passed with flying colors, I'm good for eight more years. They won't do my cataract surgery until all this virus crap is over with. I was smart to have a privete doctor do the eye exam, the state would probably turn me down, was worth the $65. |

Every other > renewal, we must go to the DMV and have our eyes tested there. Virginia used to be every 4 years and, every other renewal, a visit to DMV for an eye test was required just like you have in Michigan. Then last time I renewed (with an eye test) in 2013 they changed it to renewal every 8 years. Don't know about the eye test frequency yet but my renewal comes up next June 2021. I'll find out then. |

Every other > renewal, we must go to the DMV and have our eyes tested there. Licenses in Ontario are valid for 5 years. If you fail the vision test you get a X condition on your license, meaning that you have to wear corrective lenses when driving. Once you have that X it stays there so you don't have to do the vision test anymore. However, if you get your vision corrected you can get documentation from the doctor and they will remove the X. I used to have regular dealings with a guy who could not get a class A license due to vision problems. He was quite a character and was prone to malapropisms. He told me his vision was down 5 decibels in one eye but his "periscable" was 110%. |

How do you know that the state would turn you down? Did you bribe your doctor? Don't you have any confidence in your DMV's testing equipment? How do you think that makes the equipment feel? Did you ever think about that? https://www.amazon.com/photos/shared...OuFJoGEB05fFfv |
