Default Dinnerware revisited

Well, just a few days ago we were talking about and showing
old corelle dinnerware and more.

Just wanted to show the latest set I bought in the early
1990's. I like this set better than the older one.

It's called "Shadow Iris" by Coringware.
Here's a pic of what I have.
https://www.hostpic.org/images/2005062354420078.jpg

Odd pic though because the smaller plate is actually
smaller than what is shown and the bowls are a bit larger
than what you see. The bowls and smaller plates are the
exact same diameter.

I really love the pattern but I do wish they would
have left off the green rim, like they did on the
coffee cups.

anyway, I bought a set of 16 pieces.
4X what is shown in the pic.

Why? It's only you. A carton of cheapo paper plates would have
served you well. If you need fancy schmancy buy a box of Crayolas.

Do you ever watch the program "How It's Made" on the Science Channel;
I think that is the correct channel. They've featured Corelle dinnerware
and it's manufacturing process. Like most all their shows, this one was
pretty interesting.

That one is pretty but... I found that I don't like a pattern in the middle
of the plate.

I bought these. But they chip really easily and they've been sold out.

So I also bought these.

https://www.dollartree.com/paisley-d...ollection/e403

I don't like those as well but at least they coordinate with the others.

These will do until I find a Corelle that pleases me. The last few times I
looked, the prices were high and I wasn't thrilled with any of the patterns.

I've had three sets of Corelle. I got rid of the fist set quickly.

This was my first set.

https://www.amazon.com/Vintage-Corel...=fsclp_pl_dp_7

I loved the look but didn't like eating from it because of the pattern in
the middle. And the dishwasher I had was a killer. It ground the glasses to
powder and ate portions of the flowers off.

This was my next set. Again, the pattern eventually began to wear off.

This was my last set.

https://www.replacements.com/p/corning-country-cottage-corelle-luncheon-plate/corcoco/16371091?rplSrc={ifdyn:KX}GPLA&rplSubEvent={ifdyn: 3637856}151777&productTargetID={adwords_producttar getid}&dvc=c&rplsku=1637109&mkwid=1105200401575|pc rid|2763761603|pkw||pmt||pdv|c|&utm_source=bing&ut m_medium=cse&utm_term=401|pg984671&utm_content=110 5200401575&utm_campaign=Shopping%20Campaign%20-%20Everything%20Else&msclkid=1b85a7cef9e41f99a4bcf 97d4e675db6

The pattern was still good on those but a few got broken and more went
missing.

Read above - I bought it in the early 1990's. My daughter
was about 12 years old then.

Like you do? You've told us many times how you eat
off of paper plates.

Yes, I get that every weekday at 5pm I think it is.
One hour, 2 shows. Very interesting.
