Nope, not today! I'm taking a DAY OFF!

We had a pop-up thunderstorm 2PM or so so Old World Roofing had to stop working for the day, so I took the rest of the day off too!

Old World Roofing worked for their first time today, and Lance the foreman showed me a pic of a very similar roof they had done recently on his phone and I pointed ast and said "I want that!" It looked GREAT! As will my house's wil in a few weeks! :-)

I DID make a batch of Garlic Potatoes though, and I just got that into a big plastic container and in my refrigerator! :-)

Sounds like the roof is finally coming along. Is the part time
nursing still doing well?

Be sure and eat those potatoes tomorrow and go out and get really close to
the guys and breathe on them. They'll appreciate the knock 'em dead breath.

How sad that we need to fact check. You just posted that the roofers had
to stop working for the day at 2pm. Yet, you posted something that
arrived here at 12:06 EDT saying "As are my Old World Roofing guys are
done for the day!", and that is 3 hours earlier than this 2pm thunderstorm.

Nope! I have excellentÂ*"Oral Hygiene"! Floss fork, Proxabrush, toothbrushing!

I know what overconsumption of roasted garlics can do! We had a restaurant called Saleem's which sold and served a roasted garlic appetizer which gave me garlic breath so bad I offended myself!

My Old World Roofing crew started arriving this morning before 8AM, and spent the first day setting up equipment like scaffolding, a bending brake, etc. And they project the whole job will take several weeks! And their forman Lance showed me a pic on his phone of a very similar roof they did recently, and I pointed at it and said "I want that"! :-)

And I will have it too! For $123,671 plus $80/hr for underroof carpentry work! And the existing roof leaks in several places. :-)

Brushing, flossing, the little flossers with the brush heads, and tooth-
brushing does NOT kill those volatile compounds found in onions and garlic.
Nor does gargling with mouthwash after all the previous methods have been
used after chowing down on garlic or onions.

Yaabuttt...... You posted at noon our time that they were done for the
day. Three hours later you posted that they stopped at 2 pm.... three
hours after they had already stopped.

Wow... your expensive roof just jumped a minimum $10,000, and then
there is the extra "underroof carpentry at $80/hr. How many hours?
Carpentry generally involves materials. Trusses and sheathing can add
up really fast.

Barnum was right.

I just came back from the dentist. My teeth are in awful shape. Most likely, it's caused by not drinking enough water. As a first sign of dehydration, your body stops producing saliva. This encourages the growth of acid producing bacteria. It is the acid that causes cavities.

He applied silver diamine fluoride to the cavity. There was some extra that he applied to another tooth. This compound will probably revolutionize dentistry. For a lot of cavities, the treatment of choice will be to apply silver diamine fluoride to the spots and activating it with water instead of drilling and filling.

Most of the posts that pretend to be me, are from Greg Sorrow. There's

Just don't get any closer than 10 feet to people as garlic breath is powerful
nose crinkling stuff.

Are we supposed to congratulate you that you have a dental appointment or
are we supposed to congratulate you that you have it taped on your pc desk?
Not sure why you felt we needed that information. Just do the dentist and
the hygienist a great favor and lay off the garlic potatoes for at least
two days before you go in.

I simply cannot imagine eating the same thing, day in, day out. I don't
care what silly name you you give it, "VSTD", "STD". Eating the same
thing every day sounds just plain boring. It also sounds like
institutionalized meals to me.

I have a standard breakfast. We always have the ingredients, I like it
and it's quick. Suits me just fine.

I think they have better food in prison. Garlic mashed potatoes mixed
with beans and rice and other veggies is definitely not appetizing. I
sure as hell wouldn't brag about eating it constantly.

I eat eggs for breakfast five days a week but prepare them in different
ways. Today was hard boiled, made yesterday with the soft boiled, just
left in the pot. Never have hot cereal, last time I had cold was about
35 years ago.

At one time in New England, lobster was prison food.
Now it's expensive food.

My standard breakfast for so many years = one cup of coffee.
Works well for me.

I remember that but not all the ingredients.
Black beans and what else? I'd like to try
it someday but not for breakfast.

Kuthe isn't a "princess", much as he'd like to be. Really, Gary, would
you enjoy eating garlic mashed potatoes, rice and beans topped with
veggies every single day? Sounds boring as hell to me.

I have no idea what Bruce eats. If he cooks anything he sure hasn't
mentioned much about it.

I don't have a standard meal of any kind. I don't eat breakfast every
day but when I do it's closer to brunch/lunch time. I like eggs but I
don't eat them every day nor do I necessarily cook them the same way
every time. Scrambled (with or without cheese), soft boiled, over easy,
basted... depends on my mood.

When I do cook eggs (breakfast or breakfast for dinner) sometimes I have
bacon with them. Other times I prefer a couple of link sausages or a
couple of sausage patties. On rare occasions I'll make "home fries" to
go with. Sometimes with a buttered biscuit, sometimes a slice of
buttered toast. Or I'll have a bowl of grits. (I much prefer Lakeside
brand yellow grits.) I like peanut butter toast for breakfast on
occasion. Occasionally I have a bowl of oatmeal. Variety makes eating
so much more interesting.

We each have two large mugs of strong coffee. We don't eat breakfast,
usually brunch. When we have eggs they're for dinner.
