Default $10 Publix gift card for a flu shot

Got my flu shot at Publix this morning. They give you a $10 gift card
and the shot itself is billed to Medicare or your insurance.

Pretty good deal, I'm thinking of getting a shot every day and making
$300 a month.

I thought that the annual flu shot appeared in the fall, usually October.

It's a bit early for the flu vaccine. Is it already available?

I've seen it as early as very late August here but haven't seen any
drugstore signs advertising the new vaccine yet. If Ed has already
gotten his it will probably be available here within the week.

I think it was pushed out early to get ahead of any potential Covid
vaccine. Been available for at least a week here.

There was no need to hurry, I'm afraid.

LOL Ed! You should spend that $10 gift on Publix brand ice cream or
frozen yogurt. Usually on sale two for $10 per half gallon.

Are you sure it wasn't from the "used meat bin" that people talk
about here sometimes about grocery stores? Old, going out of date
meat on sale.

Maybe this was from the store's "used flu shot bin." Selling last
year's flu shot at a discount to clear the old stock. heh heh
And yes, folks...I *am* just kidding with this one.

One question, Ed: You said it was billed to insurance. Do you
happen to know how much it cost? Did your receipt show the amount
billed to your coverage?

I don't have prescription coverage so I'm wondering.
